Your first trip to Dubai: what to see in 3 days
03.11.2026 Aviashop Travel Destinations

Dubai amazes first-time visitors with its scale: the world’s tallest building, man-made islands, green parks in the middle of the desert. But the city is more than skyscrapers — it also has Arabian souks, old neighbourhoods and a desert culture. This plan will help you see both sides of Dubai on your first trip.

Day 1: Modern Dubai

Start with the Burj Khalifa. From the observation decks of the 828-metre tower, the city, the desert and the Persian Gulf lie at your feet. Book tickets in advance and choose a sunset slot — you get the best view and skip the queues.

Right next to the tower is The Dubai Mall, with hundreds of shops, a giant aquarium and an ice rink. In the evening, don’t miss the musical show of The Dubai Fountain — water, light and music against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa.

Day 2: Old Dubai and the souks

Spend the morning in the historic Al Fahidi district. Narrow lanes, traditional houses with wind towers and small museums show what life in Dubai was like before oil. From here, cross Dubai Creek on a traditional wooden abra boat — one of the cheapest and most atmospheric rides in the city.

On the Deira side, the gold and spice souks await. Wandering among saffron, cardamom, dried fruit and glittering shop windows is an experience in itself. Don’t be shy about bargaining — it’s expected here.

Day 3: Desert safari

Spend the first half of the day on Palm Jumeirah and along Dubai Marina. In the afternoon, head to the desert: dune bashing by 4x4, a camel ride, the sunset and dinner under the stars. The desert safari is the most memorable part of any Dubai trip.
